PS scroll to the bottom to learn more about all the lush ingredients that are listed in these recibees, like why it’s important to combine ground turmeric and black pepper!
Throw your ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth (you don’t want banana chunks… not fun!). Pro tip: make sure you have extra liquid on hand just incase your smoothie becomes too thick to blend. The last, and most creative part of your smoothie journey are the toppings! Smoothie toppers:
Now that you have topped it like it’s hot, it’s time for you to go get them, honey! Who even needs coffee, right? Ingredient Info:Nut milk: regular dairy products are inflammatory, so by sticking to nut milks as alternatives, you are taking it easy on your GI! Nut milk has many essential minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc, while also having tons of vitamins like vitamin C, B6, E, thiamine, and riboflavin. Avocado: These green guys are loaded with heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids, which will help satisfy your appetite for longer! They also have more potassium than bananas! Honey: Besides being sweet and delicious, honey is also great to keep your immune system at 100% with it’s antibacterial components. It also has enzymes that help break the sugars down more readily than other sweet alternatives, like cane sugar. Cacao: To name just a few of the benefits, cacao is full of calcium, has around 40 Times the antioxidants of blueberries, is the highest plant-based source of iron, is full of magnesium (great for heart and brain!), and it is even known as a natural antidepressant and mood elevator.Cinnamon: this spice is anti-inflammatory, helps regulate blood sugar, is loaded with antioxidants and gives tons of flavor to your smoothies! Camu camu powder: move over oranges… there is a new king of vitamin C! Yup, you heard us right, camu camu is loaded with vitamin C and it’s a great addition to smoothies for extra immune support. Propolis: Put the oil of oregano down... you do not need to smell like a pizza to keep yourself from catching the office cold. Propolis is antibacterial and antiviral like oil of oregano, but tastes way better (a sweet and honey like taste) and, unlike oil of oregano, is also anti-inflammatory. 4 sprays and you are ready to slay the day… sans pizza like characteristics! Spirulina and chlorella: these species of algae are both great for our bodies! Spirulina is higher in protein, while chlorella is well known for it’s ability to help the body detox. Bee pollen: The golden balls are filled with vitamins and nutrients (like vitamin B) and are the highest percentage of protein per weight than an animal makes. Pollen also helps with fighting off seasonal allergies! Ground turmeric and black pepper combo: Curcumin is a compound found in turmeric and is known for it’s anti-inflammatory properties. It also increases the antioxidant capacity of the body. The combination of turmeric and black pepper is to allow the body to readily absorb the curcumin from turmeric!
